Preserve the wording
A citation must remain usable on a narrow screen. Our focus is the durable citation. Preserve the exact wording, page identity and date so that another reader can reconstruct the question after the original design has changed.
A citation problem
A long address can overflow a column or become an inaccessible tiny link. Preserve a descriptive title, full address and access date with the specific assertion. Where the document supplies a different publication date, keep that separately. Formatting makes a citation usable; it does not establish that the destination or every claim has been verified.
Make the record durable
Wrap the address and provide a descriptive link title. Keep the question, the source reference and the remaining limitation together so that a later reader can reconstruct the reasoning.
