Preserve the wording
An absent document date is a research limitation. Our focus is the durable citation. Preserve the exact wording, page identity and date so that another reader can reconstruct the question after the original design has changed.
A citation problem
Inventing a date from a search result or a footer creates false precision. Preserve a descriptive title, full address and access date with the specific assertion. Where the document supplies a different publication date, keep that separately. Formatting makes a citation usable; it does not establish that the destination or every claim has been verified.
Make the record durable
Use an access date and explicitly state that publication timing was not established. Keep the question, the source reference and the remaining limitation together so that a later reader can reconstruct the reasoning.
